Wonderful Radio London, also known as Radio London or Big L, was a British offshore pirate radio station that broadcast from the MV *Galaxy* ship in the North Sea between 1964 and 1967. It transmitted on the 266-meter medium-wave band (1133 kHz) and became known for its polished format, inspired by American Top 40 radio. The station was highly popular, playing contemporary pop music and pioneering a professional approach to broadcasting. It ceased operations on August 14, 1967, following the implementation of the Marine Broadcasting Offences Act, which outlawed pirate radio stations.
