The Sound Playlist
The Sound was a classic rock radio station based in Los Angeles, California, broadcasting on 100.3 FM under the call sign KSWD. It launched in 2008 and became known for its focus on deep cuts and listener-friendly programming, avoiding overly repetitive playlists. Owned by Entercom (now Audacy), the station was sold to Educational Media Foundation in 2017 and transitioned to the Christian contemporary K-LOVE format. The Sound ceased operations on November 16, 2017, after a farewell broadcast featuring former DJs and notable rock music highlights.
