High Definition Radio Playlist
High Definition Radio, commonly referred to as HD Radio, is a digital broadcasting technology used by AM and FM radio stations in the United States. Developed by iBiquity (now owned by Xperi Corporation), it allows radio stations to broadcast in both analog and digital formats simultaneously, providing improved sound quality and additional channels. HD Radio does not require a subscription and is free to listeners with compatible receivers. The technology also supports features like song metadata, traffic updates, and artist information. It was first approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for use in the U.S. in 2002.
