Touch 106.1 FM, often referred to as Touch 106, was a low-power, unlicensed radio station that operated in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded in 2006 by Charles Clemons and became known as "The Fabric of the Black Community" for its focus on issues relevant to Boston's African-American population. The station broadcast music, local news, and cultural programming but was shut down by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 2014 for operating without a license. Despite its closure, it remains a symbol of grassroots media serving underrepresented communities.
