KUSF was a pioneering college radio station based at the University of San Francisco, operating on 90.3 FM from 1977 until 2011. Known for its eclectic programming, it showcased diverse music genres, from punk to world music, and was instrumental in promoting underground and local artists. In 2011, its FM license was sold to the Classical Public Radio Network, sparking controversy and protests from the community. The station transitioned to an online-only format and continues to broadcast as KUSF.org. It remains a key part of San Francisco's cultural and musical history.
