97.1 Sweet FM was a community radio station based in Sydney, Australia. It operated on the 97.1 MHz FM frequency and primarily catered to the LGBTQIA+ community, offering a mix of music, talk shows, and community-focused programming. The station ceased operations in 2001 after its license renewal application was unsuccessful. Its closure led to the establishment of a new station, 2SER's Queer Radio, which continued to serve Sydney's LGBTQIA+ audience. Sweet FM remains a notable part of Australia's community radio history.
