Radio Rebelde was a clandestine radio station in Argentina that operated during the 1950s. It was established by supporters of former president Juan Domingo Perón after his overthrow in 1955 during the "Revolución Libertadora." The station broadcasted pro-Peronist messages and opposition to the military regime, seeking to mobilize resistance and promote the return of Perón. Its transmissions were sporadic and conducted in secret to avoid government detection. Radio Rebelde in Argentina drew inspiration from similar efforts in other Latin American contexts to use radio as a tool for political resistance.
