XEK is a historic AM radio station located in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. It began broadcasting on May 17, 1937, and is known as one of the pioneering border blaster stations. The station operates on the frequency 960 kHz and is branded as "La Estación Grande de Nuevo Laredo." Over the years, XEK has been recognized for its role in providing entertainment, news, and music to audiences on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. It is part of the Cadena RASA radio network.
