Radio Fortschritt was a German radio station that operated in the Soviet Occupation Zone and later East Germany during the early post-World War II period. It was established in 1945 and served as a propaganda tool for the Soviet authorities, promoting socialist ideology and the policies of the emerging East German state. The station primarily broadcast political, cultural, and educational programs aimed at supporting the reconstruction of Germany along socialist lines. It was eventually absorbed into the broader network of East German state-controlled media, such as Berliner Rundfunk and later the Deutscher Demokratischer Rundfunk (DDR).
