Discoclub Playlist
Discoclub was a popular German radio program that aired on the public broadcaster Rundfunk der DDR (Radio of the German Democratic Republic) from 1963 to 1990. It was hosted by renowned radio DJ Wolfgang "Wolle" Brückner and was known for introducing listeners in East Germany to international pop, rock, and disco music. The show played a significant role in shaping musical tastes behind the Iron Curtain, as it provided access to Western music that was otherwise hard to come by. Discoclub gained a loyal following and became a cultural phenomenon during its nearly three-decade run.
