The Power Station was a British radio station that broadcast on the Astra satellite in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was part of British Satellite Broadcasting (BSB) and primarily focused on music, featuring a mix of pop, rock, and contemporary hits. The station was notable for its high-quality stereo sound and visual element, as it was also available as a simulcast TV channel. After BSB merged with Sky in 1990 to form BSkyB, The Power Station was discontinued in 1991. Its closure marked the end of one of the early experiments in combining radio and television broadcasting.
