Radio Interamericana was a Chilean radio station based in Santiago that operated between 1959 and 1973. Known for its diverse programming, it featured music, news, and cultural content catering to a broad audience. The station was associated with leftist political views and supported the government of President Salvador Allende. Following the military coup in September 1973, Radio Interamericana was shut down by the new regime, along with other media outlets aligned with Allende’s administration. Its closure marked the end of its contributions to Chile’s radio landscape.
