The station serves mid-Missouri with a mix of news, talk, and cultural programming, including content from NPR and locally produced shows. KBIA has won numerous awards for journalism, including regional and national Edward R. Murrow Awards. It also serves as a training platform for students at the Missouri School of Journalism.
