Energy Playlist
Energy was the branding used by several Canadian radio stations, primarily in the 1990s and 2000s, that focused on contemporary hit radio (CHR) or dance music formats. Notable stations that adopted the Energy name included Energy 108 (CING-FM in Burlington, Ontario) and Energy 1200 (CFGO in Ottawa). These stations were influential in promoting dance, electronic, and pop music in Canada during their peak. Over time, many Energy-branded stations either rebranded under new formats or ceased operations entirely. The Energy name is no longer widely associated with Canadian radio.
