Радио СИ was one of the first commercial radio stations in Russia, launched in 1990 in Yekaterinburg (then Sverdlovsk). It became a pioneer in Russian private broadcasting, offering a mix of contemporary Western music and local news. The station played a significant role in shaping the media landscape during the post-Soviet era. Over time, its popularity declined, and in 2007, it ceased operations, with its frequencies taken over by other broadcasters.
