The station is part of the Hits Radio Network, owned and operated by Bauer Media Group. Hallam FM broadcasts a mix of contemporary pop music, local news, and entertainment. It is a successor to the original Radio Hallam and shares its history with sister stations Greatest Hits Radio South Yorkshire and Magic AM.
