WXRK was a New York City-based radio station that operated on the 92.3 FM frequency. It was best known for its rock music format and as the flagship station for Howard Stern's nationally syndicated morning show from 1985 to 2005. In 2006, the station rebranded to "Free FM" with a talk format before switching to a Top 40/CHR format under the name "92.3 Now" in 2009. It later transitioned to an alternative rock format as "Alt 92.3" in 2017. The station's call sign, WXRK, is no longer in use, as it was changed to WNYL during its "Alt" branding.
