Suffolk Sound Playlist
Suffolk Sound was a proposed independent local radio station in the United Kingdom intended to serve the county of Suffolk. It was part of the competitive bidding process for an Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) franchise in the early 1980s. However, the franchise was ultimately awarded to Radio Orwell, which already operated in the region and later became part of the larger East Anglian radio group. Suffolk Sound never launched as a station, but its bid reflected the growing interest in localized commercial radio during that era.
