Central Radio North West Playlist
Central Radio North West was a short-lived independent local radio station based in Preston, Lancashire, United Kingdom. It launched on 25 September 2008 and primarily served the Preston, Chorley, and Leyland areas. The station broadcast a mix of contemporary music and local news but struggled to gain a significant audience. By June 2009, it ceased operations and was replaced by a relay of another station, 106.5 The Revolution, based in Oldham. It was part of the UK’s wave of smaller, regional radio stations that faced challenges in a competitive market.
