Freedom Radio was a British clandestine radio station that operated during World War II. It was run by the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) as a form of black propaganda aimed at undermining Nazi Germany. The station broadcast in German, pretending to be an underground German resistance group, to spread disinformation and sow discord among German citizens and soldiers. Its programming included fake news reports, subversive commentary, and morale-damaging messages. The broadcasts were carefully crafted to appear credible while promoting Allied objectives.
