Planète was a French radio station that operated from 1988 to 1991. It was part of the NRJ Group and focused on themes related to travel, nature, and discovery. The station was designed to offer an alternative, more educational programming compared to NRJ's mainstream music format. Despite its innovative concept, Planète struggled to attract a large audience and was eventually replaced by the Chérie FM network. Its closure marked a shift in the group's strategy toward more commercially viable formats.
