Super CFL Radio was the branding for WCFL, a Chicago-based AM radio station that operated on 1000 kHz and was most prominent during its Top 40 era in the 1960s and 1970s. Known for its rivalry with WLS, another major Top 40 station in Chicago, WCFL attracted a large audience with a mix of hit music, energetic DJs, and promotional events. The station transitioned away from the Top 40 format in 1976, eventually adopting a beautiful music and later a talk format. WCFL was owned by the Chicago Federation of Labor, which influenced its call letters. The station is now known as WMVP and operates as an ESPN Radio affiliate.
