Radio Caroline est une station de radio britannique qui a commencé à émettre en 1964 en tant que station de radio pirate offshore, émettant à partir de navires ancrés dans les eaux internationales afin de contourner les restrictions de diffusion du Royaume-Uni. Fondée par Ronan O'Rahilly, elle est devenue célèbre en diffusant de la musique pop et rock, largement ignorée par la BBC et les stations commerciales de l'époque. Malgré les efforts du gouvernement pour la fermer, elle a continué à émettre par intermittence à partir de navires jusqu'en 1990. Aujourd'hui, Radio Caroline opère légalement en tant que station de radio numérique et en ligne, tout en continuant à promouvoir son indépendance et sa liberté d'esprit. La station occupe une place emblématique dans l'histoire de la radio britannique et de la culture populaire.
