88.5 KNKX est une station de radio publique basée à Tacoma, dans l'État de Washington, desservant la région de Seattle-Tacoma. C'est une station indépendante sous licence communautaire, connue pour ses programmes de jazz, de blues et d'informations de la National Public Radio (NPR). KNKX était auparavant affiliée à la Pacific Lutheran University et fonctionnait sous le nom de KPLU jusqu'à ce qu'elle devienne une station appartenant à la communauté en 2016, à la suite d'une campagne de financement réussie visant à empêcher sa vente. La station diffuse dans le monde entier et est très appréciée pour ses performances locales de jazz et son contenu axé sur la communauté. Ses lettres d'appel, KNKX, signifient "Connects" (Connexion), reflétant sa mission de connecter les auditeurs grâce à la musique et aux histoires.
